A recent visit by VICE en Esapñol sheds light onto what many seek to know about the creation of some of Yucatan’s traditional dish, the ever popular “Cochinita Pibil”.
VICE traveled to Yucatan to learn the secrets of Cochinita Pibil (Pig, Cooked underground). Explore the markets of Mérida, spoke with local historians and gastronomes, visit Municipalities on the outskirts of Merida where a pig was celebrated with the traditional dance of the pig’s head and then enjoyed Cochinita Pibil, one of Yucatan’s traditional dishes.
