Happy 477th Anniversary Merida
On the 477th anniversary of the city of Merida, the celebration must be big! So make sure you do not miss this year #MeridaFest2019, there will be dancing, music, theater, cinema, food, and many other little surprises.
This past January 7th in the Grand Plaza of Merida and in the presence of locals and traveling guests during the traditional Sunday event “Merida en Domingo” you could hear the suttle roar and romantic music of love and fireworks marking the beginning of the inaugural concert and 477th birthday anniversary of Merida, “Tributo a Mérida” in which musicians specialized in “Trova Yucateca” all began to sing in unison while walking in mass down 60th street leading toward Grand Plaza. What a sight to see and experience. (video above)
I enjoyed the music of Alicia González, Noam Rittner, Flor Amargo, Cacho Medina, Rodrigo de la Cadena and Armando Manzanero at the inaugural concert Tributo a Mérida.
